Black Friday At Staples

There are actual great deals, genuine goodies I got from Staples today! It does not look like some old stuff they want to get rid off as some stores seems to be doing. For example when I want to get a decent $100 range digital camera, all I found was those pinky 8 meg Samsung. They even offer the apple red 10 meg for that price, so I avoided those bargains that don’t offer the color choice I can live with. Neither does Nikon Coolpix or Kodak offer the features I want, so I end up with Casio Exilim with much more features for a little more $. Anyway back to Staples Black Friday sales.

I got myself a $100 eMachine/Gateway 19 inch monitor that other brands cost at least $150, so this is an opportunity not to be missed. Even Walmart couldn’t offer such a great deal. Once in the store, it is hard to resist buying other bargains. How about $5 for a 50 pak DVD disc? $12.99 for a 8 gig USB stick, got two of them. Then there is the 4 gig microSDHC card for $9.99 and this wireless logitech keyboard mouse combo I am typing with, hooked to my netbook for $30, these deals can’t be beat, really!

I checked out the neighborhood store before 7.30 am, they opened at 5 am and the store was already abuzz with customers, all cheapos like me I guess. This is a great time for visitors to come to the US to go bargain hunting provided they are willing to wake up real early to grab the good deals. If you are clueless, Black Friday refers to the Friday following Thanksgiving (always on Thursday) when stores open for business offering very steep discounts, hoping to lure more buyers. All the good deals will usually be gone by midday. Staples, ya, we got that!
